JEDBURGH PICTURE SPECIAL: Sisters doing it for themselves
Almost 100 ladies on nine tables enjoyed a day-into-night of chit-chat and entertainment pre and post match on Saturday.
It’s an annual social gathering that was, as so many others, cancelled last year due to the pandemic.

Margaret McCraw, a long-time volunteer at the club, said: “It’s been going for a few years now and we’ve had some good day into nights.
"Not all the ladies are connected to the rugby club. We have a rota for the tea system, doing the pies and such for the supporters, and a lot of the ladies on that took a table but there were a lot of younger ones there, not sure if they had boyfriends playing, but everyone seemed to have a really good time.
"We had bingo this time and we had a carvery and then had another game of bingo before the game started.

"It’s a chance for the ladies of the club to get together and have a good time basically. It didn’t happen last year and the last was pre-Covid.”
Unfortunately Jed-Forest lost 17-35 on Saturday to Currie Chieftains.
Margaret added: “I was a bit disappointed because I’m a diehard supporter but a lot of the young ones didn’t bother. It certainly didn’t put a dampener on the day.”
